Bloody War
This really isn’t nice. I’m trying not to think of this aspect of the war…

BBC2 are getting rid of their 2s – it’s a sad day.
Well dunn to Paul D for getting a position of great importance (Deputy Banqueting and Event Manager) at Dulwich College. He starts on the 3rd December, the lucky blighter…
Rather amusing Jac-related incidents: Jac decided to go to London for a few days to see employers face-to-face, showing his keen, I’m-desperate-for-a-job image. Which is nice. While feeling a little disgruntled that he’d only managed 2 job agencies in 2 hours, and had 20 to go, he packed it all in, and ambled home. However, a police car took a distinct liking to him, and followed the poor boy home. Finally, a policeman popped out and casually enquired whether he had, in fact, been mugging a dear old lady earlier in the day. Which, we all assume, he hadn’t. Still, being suspected of a mugging on your first day in London isn’t exactly a good omen, especially when the VERY NEXT DAY a women whose furniture he’s moving accuses him of pilfering her wallet. A professional mugger AND a thief – NOT something he should put on his CV, I think…
Well, good afternoon! Sorry my entries have been a little SPARSE (good word) lately, but it’s a little difficult to access the internet without the boss noticing the beeeeepppppp-whirrrrrrrr of the dastardly modem in the corner! The last few days I’m been working away in Guildford (yes, even on SATURDAY and SUNDAY), and it’s all been a bit humdrum. Well, apart from a young lady who rang up and announced that she was Mrs EC Lay from Essex. I had to put her on hold for about a minute while I recovered myself…
Well, here I am at work. I’ve been working my socks off recently, so my bank manager likes me a little more, and it seems to be working wonders. Pulling in ?300 a week, which will immediately go out to pay back my bank, Barclaycard, my mum, Paul S and other LOVELY people. Ahh well, I may even be able to go out for a night soon…
A few things.
1. Sorry for the errors when commenting. It all works perfectly, and your comment is posted, but the comments screen shows an error. I’m working on it, but in the meantime just close the comments window and reopen it to see your comment. Ta muchly.
2. I saw something chucklesome on my way home from work today – a Crash Recovery truck turned left into oncoming cars at a crossroads, causing, you guessed it, an almighty crash. If ONLY I’d had my camera…
3. Most amusing headline of the day – ““Prince Charles slapped about face by flower”. Snigger.

wayofthestick – SUCH a good flash game…
I had some green ketchup yesterday. I braced myself, closed my eyes (cos I thought I could pretend it was red or something), I even had an audience. And how was it? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Apparently, the taste has also changed ‘slightly’ to reflect the colour. And even after 3 glasses of water, I still had a lingering taste in my mouth, and green teeth that even scared my dog…
