Home users suffer web worm woe, reports the BBC. They’re not wrong, as Messagelabs confirms. Wired Magazine weighs in too. And not just home users, either. Today I had to contain the first full-blown virus alert we’ve had at work, and, worringly it was down to me to fix it. It was fascinating, in a slightly geeky way, to watch the virus working its magic, each cry of “oh no, I’VE got it now” hailing another machine succombing to the bloody thing. Finally, at 4.30 this afternoon, I gave the all-clear.
Tomorrow, I shall do all the work I planned to do today.
