Dear Mrs Matthews,
I am writing to u over the illness of ur mother Gertrude. There is no easy way to say this but shes dead! She died 15 minutes after I got there to treat her for a rare case of ‘fanny fish’. This is an illness only found in elderly women when they forget to clean their lower wrinkly bits. Fanny fish bread and swim inside the virgina and can grow up to a size of 10 feet long! I was just in the middle of treating Gertrude when all of a sudden, a killer squid emerged from the bathroom sink plughole! It swollowed her in one gulp and all I could do was run out the house for my own safety. I am so dreadfully sorry to bring u this tragic news, and u have my full blessings. Regards Dr Shipman

But did he really hang himself? Harold Shipman - Dead or alive? Or does his “death” save plenty of embarrassing questions in court?
